Patrick & Christine | The Gathering Place at Darlington Lake Wedding

What a beautiful day this past Saturday turned out to be! I always feel a bit nervous shooting the wedding of a couple I’ve never met with in person, but Patrick and Christine could not have been more gracious and welcoming. From the moment I began photographing Christine’s gorgeous personal details in her childhood home, I knew we were in for a delightful day.  Christine has flawless taste and intentionally surrounded her wedding day with reflections of the past - vintage family wedding photographs, her mother’s jewelry, and heirloom handkerchiefs. She and Patrick, after all, share a love rooted in a rich legacy of family, faith, and community; involving all of these things in their wedding day only seemed sensible. Naturally, the two were united in holy matrimony in their home church, St Frances Cabrini in Aliquippa, where they’ve spent many years in service and worship. They then hosted a lovely waterside reception just down the road at the beautiful Gathering Place at Darlington Lake.
